Neurological Music Therapy in an Acute Trauma Setting

Neurological Music Therapy in an Acute Trauma Setting

Chiltern Music Therapy

London, United Kingdom
Description

Alongside the serious injury team at Irwin Mitchell, we are delighted to invite you to a free conference exploring neurological music therapy and its use in an acute trauma setting.

Since March, the team in the Irwin Mitchell London Office have generously funded a joint project with us and the Trauma Service at the Royal London Hospital.

The ongoing project involved setting up a neurologic music therapy clinic within the acute trauma wards of the Royal London Hospital, treating patients with brain and spinal cord injury, amputations, orthopaedic injuries and neurological disease. The focus was on promoting functional and emotional improvements to acute patients pre-discharge or transfer and is the first time that neurologic music therapy has been trialled in an acute trauma setting in the UK and worldwide.

Following the project’s conclusion in October we would be delighted to welcome you to a seminar discussing the outcomes of the clinic and the role of neurological music therapy in acute medicine.

For more information and to book into the conference please email info@chilternmusictherapy.co.uk or call 01442 780541 and we will send you a link to book on.

The event is taking place on Wednesday 14th November from 4.30-8pm at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, 40 Holborn Viaduct, London, EC1N 2PZ.
