With the program "Culture makes you strong". Alliance for Education ", the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been promoting extracurricular cultural education for disadvantaged children and adolescents since 2013. The program will continue from 2018 to 2022.
From now on local actors can apply for funding. The entire spectrum of cultural education is being promoted - from everyday culture through digital media, literature and music to theater and circus. Also the offer formats are varied: Taster days, weekly and half-course courses, holiday camps or workshops - almost everything is possible. The offers are aimed at children and adolescents from the age of three to 18, offering them better educational opportunities and cultural participation.
The BMBF offers four information events in March and April 2018 and invites all interested parties to inform themselves on site about the manifold funding opportunities and seek advice.
